📚My week in reading…
This week I have read quite a bit for me, I really enjoyed the book that I finished last, and also snuck in a little children’s story that was pretty adorable. I am also super excited for Some of the books I have waiting for me on my shelf.
On a side note, we are picking up our new RV tomorrow! It isn’t anything luxurious, but compared to how we have been camping in our 15 year old tent trailer it is going to be heaven.
My favorite time of the day is the early mornings with a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in front of me. So I am so excited to wake up and spend our early mornings enjoying the quiet of our family’s new trailer.
📚What I read last…
There are two book I finished over the weekend, and I really enjoyed them both. The Woman In The Window by A J Finn and The Wild 🤖. The Woman in the Window was a page turner. I found myself cheering for the main character, and also wanting a glass of wine 🍷 as I read through her story(she drinks an awful lot of Merlot). I found this thriller to be a fast read and pretty original, reminding me of Gillian Flynn.
The Wild Robot 🤖 by Peter Brown is a cute little story about a cargo ship that goes down in a storm and some of the freight make it to a remote island. One of the boxes contains a robot that tries her luck at survival on the island. She learns many things about life in this story about animal behavior, friendships, family and community. This was a great little chapter book for maybe a 4th or 5th grader.
📚What I am reading now…
Yesterday I started Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I haven’t got very far into it yet but seems to be an interesting story of twin sisters away at college, and they are growing more apart as I turn the pages. One sister wants to write and read in her dorm while the other wants to party! I am looking forward to finishing this one over the holiday weekend.
I am also reading along with Joey(for those of you that don’t know, my 10 yr old homeschooled son) with his book he is playing on Audibles, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. I am really excited that my son is loving this book so far. He has a hard time reading so we’re trying to improve his reading a bit by following along in the book while listening to the audio version. Crossing my fingers!
📚What I am planning on reading next…
I am not entirely sure of this one. I have two books that will be due next week after vacation, the last of the library books that are checked out right now. I go through spurts where I tend to check out too many.
Forget the library books, I decided on The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco! I don’t know anything about this book other than some really good reviews from some book bloggers.
I’m super excited to get reading this holiday break, and pack my books in that RV! I’ll let you all know next week how the stories turned out!
Have a great Wednesday bloggers! Happy reading!📚
