WWW Wednesday’s

I can’t remember the book blogger I saw thinks post on months ago. but I took right to following along with my WWW posts. It’s a fun way to recap the week in books, sharing what we’ve been reading in our preschool too.

I discuss books we have finished, what we are currently reading and what we plan to read next. I like to also include my preschool titles from circle time and might even add in some of Ryan’s reading while on vacation next week for fun(he is reading some pretty interesting stuff).😳

Over the weekend I finished up Gunslinger Girl by Lindsay Ely. It was a fun YA book with a Wild West style. Serendipity Jones, a young girl trying to find her way in a lawless town. It was not a book I’d ever read again or recommend really, but I’d give it a solid 3.5🔥🔥🔥. It was a fun quick read!

On Sunday I started reading Shoe Dog by Phil Knight. A memoir of how it all began(Nike). I am especially interested in this story since it happened in our own backyard.

Phil Knight grew up in Portland, but went to the University of Oregon in Eugene, where he met his soon to be partner in the shoe business, Bill Bowerman(Oregon’s track coach in the 60’s and 70’s).

I am just getting into the book, but I’m enjoying how candidly he tells his story, the ups and downs, successes and setbacks. I think I’m going to really enjoy reading it.

I can’t take too long on Shoe Dog, because Elin Hilderbrand is one of my favorite summer, beachy authors. “The queen of the beach read” as they say. So to kick off vacation I will be starting her latest book The Perfect Couple that was just released last week. I’ve already seen some reviews of it and I am excited!

📚What have we been reading for circle time?

Each day during circle time we read about 4-6 different stories. This is the collection of the past week in story time.

    • It’s really good! Phil has a great sense of humor in the book, sharing stories about his wife Penny and all their long shot gambles with the company, I’m enjoying it more than I expected. 😊
