4W- Wednesday on a Thursday! 😬

We made it to Wednesday again..And it went right on by without my post. Oops!

So here we are…I am talking about books with you again. I have read some fun books this past week and for once, actually read some of the books I set out to read.😃

What have I just finished reading?

This week I’ve read Caraval, Song of Achilles and The Perfect Couple. You can click the link for my reviews if you missed them. I haven’t yet finished my review of The Perfect Couple.

It was a good week reading for me, that’s more than I usually manage to read. All three of these books were super fun, but if I had to pick my favorite I would say Song of Achilles.

Caraval is missing from my picture because I traded it in for Camino Island last week.

What am I reading now?

I just started The Giver by Lois Lowry and also Camino Island by John Grisham. Hopefully they will be just as enjoyable as the last week of reading. Camino Island is about a heist, and I am not sure what to expect from the Giver, I am probably the last person to read this book. 🤣

What am I going to read next?

I ordered a paper white Kindle reader so I am thinking I will read a book from the Kindle and I just haven’t decided what yet. Also I have Paper Towns by John Green sitting by my chair waiting for me too.

This Kindle will be so nice to read from compared to my iPad that’s so much heavier! I can’t wait to try it out!🤩

What have we been reading during circle time?

This week our theme for preschool is camping. So we ordered some camping picture books that I am really excited about and have a preorder on a Pete the Cat Camping book that gets released this September.

  • Llama Llama Loves Camping
  • Maisy Goes Camping
  • PJ Funnybunny Camps Out
  • Froggy Goes to Camp
  • Just Me and My Dad
  • Pete the Cat Goes Camping (release date Tuesday September 4, 2018)

We’ve done some camping activities, discussed different ways for families to camp, pretended to be out camping and tomorrow we are having a campfire party with s’mores and hotdogs!

My favorite book this past week is Llama Llama Goes Camping. This story talks about camping without taking your gadgets and simply enjoying the outdoors. All the kids were really tuned into this story too!

That is my week in books! What have you been reading this week? Have you read any of these books? Do you use a Kindle too?

Thanks for reading, have a great Thursday evening!

  1. One of the things I love about kindle is the free books. I get enormous value out of kindle unlimited too. Freebooksy, bargainbooksy and Bookbub are three great sites to sign up to. They’ll send you emails daily of some fabulous reads in the genres you select. 😊
