Have a seat, can I get you something to drink?
I’m not sure how many people actually subscribe to magazines these days, but Ryan and I still love getting a new issue in our mailbox. We thought we’d invite you into our living room, offer you a drink and let you peruse through this month’s latest issues on our coffee table…
Top 10 in order of our most favorite…
Ryan loves this magazine more than any other, they have breathtaking photos from around the world and great articles about the surfing industry… culture, the gear and the sport. This month’s issue covers articles about John John Florence(of course🙄), Jim Metyko(a Texas born surf photographer, the ever changing board crafting business and a New Zealand fight against seabed-mining.
This is another of Ryan’s favorites along with the Outside channel when we still had cable. This magazine talks about all things… outside! This issue on my lap discusses bike share programs, Amazon’s monopoly on the gear market and a proposed water pipeline for Utah residents.
This is my fav, the magazine for Thousand Trails, our nationwide member campground resort. I enjoy reading about all things camping. Most issues discuss on-site events and upgrades to certain parks, especially during the summer months.
Another fun outdoor magazine focusing on the more western part of the country. They discuss all things travel with recipes for food and drinks. This month’s issue talks about glamping getaways, beachside bungalows, adventure hikes and wine tasting trails…
Is great for anyone with an RV, each issue touches on various ways to improve camping and traveling. They usually highlight some new RV’s and offer tips for upgrading your tow vehicle or your RV!
This has been my longest magazine subscription. I believe it’s made by Disney and it covers everything for families with kids from vacation destinations to lemonade stand ideas! Great tips and full of creativity.
National Geographic Traveler
This month’s issue of Nat Geo Traveler is all about Secret Getaways. They list 45 places to discover. A bit on the hidden history of Ethiopia, adventures in Equador and wild Canada!
This is a beautiful magazine with all things surrounding, of course, coastal living. This month covers the ten best islands to retire on and Hemingway’s favorite Florida bar that’s a must visit.
Travel & Leisure
We enjoy this magazine for the articles and wonderful pictures of places we will most likely never visit. This issue is their adventure issue they discuss Hawaii by sea, Canada’s untouched wilderness, the Island of Orangutans and going wild in Peru.
This magazine is produced by the Sierra Club so it’s big on environmental issues. This issue is in celebration of America’s rivers. The feature article discusses restoring the LA river.
Well there you have it… everything on our coffee table. Can I get you another drink? Do you subscribe to any of these? What is on your coffee table right now?
Thanks for reading everyone! Happy Tuesday!
