Who’s ready for the weekend?

We are heading back to the coast for some cooler temperatures this weekend…

Maybe an animal sighting if I’m lucky!

What are your weekend plans? How will you be beating the heat?

We will be staying near the Siltcoos Recreation area on the Oregon Coast, where my parents spotted a bear and a fox a few weekends ago. The surf is supposed to be decent and Ryan and I are more than ready for a weekend away from work, and home, it’s been a stressful week.

We have the trailer loaded, bikes on the back, swim suits, wetsuits, camera charged, a cooler of beverages… and my book library! 😍 what else do we need…

Next post will be a photo post! Crossing my fingers!

Enjoy the weekend friends!

  1. Our garlic harvest is dried so we will spend a lot of time cleaning garlic this weekend and over the next few weeks. We may take some time off Sunday to go to the county fair and watch tractor pulls.

    • I love garlic! That sounds like you’ll keep pretty busy! Tractor pulls sounds fun!💗 I like the animals at the fair too!

      • We always visit the animals at the fair – especially the goats. Once in a while we see a sow with babies and they are so cute and the baby cows are adorable. We usually skip some of the horses because there as just so many. Have a great weekend! 🙂

  2. I’m so jealous. We’ve talked about how much I want an RV. I hope you spot that animal (from a distance of course 😉). Have fun. I’ll be anywhere there’s air conditioning. 🤷🏽‍♀️

      • Monday I am off to Bridge Lake BC. Hopefully the smoke from the forest fires aren’t too bad. Next Saturday my wife and I are taking a dinner train from Squamish, BC with a couple friends. Then camping at 20 Mile Bay which is on the west side of Harrison Lake.

  3. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend away from the stress with a nice surf and lots of animals to photograph! We are having a quiet weekend here after the stress of the week. I’m hoping for a nice rain today! Then I won’t have to water my flowers AND I can read by the sound of the rain. Enjoy, Lana! Off to check out the pics! 💗

      • Oh, ya in that picture I was trying a cider! I didn’t really care for it though… 🤢lol

      • I like the crack berry cider and the blood orange cider, plus, when I was at the beach I could drink them there and not have to worry about glass bottles. I like Apple ciders and hard Apple ciders as well. There are so many flavors and varieties to choose from, of course there are generally too much sugar and too many carbs to drink them on the regular, but every once in a while I do. 😊

      • I’ll have to keep trying them and find one I like… I like to stick with the low carb margarita mix except it’s so much sodium. 😊

      • I noticed that many things that are low carb are higher in sodium, but if you are in ketosis that’s ok. Do you have regular blood work to make sure your values are all in normal range?
