Holiday Festival in Florence, Oregon

We didn’t do any shopping on Black Friday, instead we packed up and went to our campsite near Florence. I love this small town for its waterfront strip and all the events that happen here.

This was such a fun experience we had this past weekend. It felt so good to experience a small town event with nothing for sale, no fees, just a small community donating their time for a family event.

Santa and Mrs Claus arrived in the Siuslaw Firetruck and he met all the children in the gazebo along the Siuslaw River. Volunteers offered cups of cider and hot chocolate and after visiting Santa with our list of gift ideas(super important), we went on a hay ride through town.

The boys asked me what is Mrs. Claus’ first name? I have no idea… does anyone know? 🤣

It rained during the day Friday but by 4 pm we got lucky, and the rest of the weekend was dry. Perfect for a peaceful evening by the fire.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! How did you spend your long weekend? Drop me a comment…

  1. We made dinner for our family, Friday we just chilled and took my son home, Sat. my hubby and I went to Justin to look for clothes for him but found nothing, then we went to Winstar and won a little money. Yesterday I had my dad over for Scrabble and Pool games! It was a nice weekend but I wish I’d had my kids around longer. I understand that when they get time off, they have things to do with their families, girlfriends and such though. Glad your weekend was lovely!

    • That sounds like a fun weekend! I totally know what you mean about wishing you were able to spend more time with your children. I didn’t see either of my grown boys at all. One in the Navy and the other just doesn’t really ever come over… it’s sad.
