Top 10 Tuesday~ 10 Newbery Winners I’m Can’t Believe I’ve Never Read

I have been so busy with ARCs that I have gotten a bit sidetracked from my reading goal of reading through all of the Newbery Winners since the award was created in 1922.

I am hoping with this post it will inspire me to get back on track with my reading goal.

There are many more than these 10 that I need to read to complete my goal, but these are ones I just feel I should have read by now.

  • Walk Two Moons 0E4624C0-22EE-48E4-A82C-F629CE6B1AF4

  • The View From Saturday

  • Bud, Not Buddy

  • Esperanza Rising

  • Julie of the Wolves

  • A Wrinkle in Time

  • Bridge to Terabithia

  • A Year Down Yonder

  • A Single Shard

  • Shiloh

Have you read all or some of these titles? Which is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by! Let’s chat about books…

  1. I have not read any of those books, but as soon as I gt the hang of ordering and returnng audiobooks from my local library and the Libby app, I will try to get to one! They snatched my ook back before I was finished, no notice it was about to expire or anything! Is that normal? Anyway, I had to recheck it out, and now will have to finish it by actually reading it because the audio version is on a 2 week waiting list! Oh well, live and learn I guess. Happy reading!

  2. I was surprised to find that I’ve read quite a few of these. A Wrinkle in Time is one of my all time favorite books. It’s also a favorite of my daughter. I think we must have read these when they first were published. I know my boys adored Shiloh and we all loved Julie of the Wolves. Oh, and Bridge was one of my faves as well. I didn’t realize these all were award winners. I’ll have to check out the others. Good luck with your reading!

    • Thank you… ya it’s really interesting looking back and seeing what books won. Even more interesting are some of the classics that never won.

      • My 11 year old is a total book nerd like me! I love it. It’s been a lot of fun getting to share my love of books with her and picking out books to read. I have a whole bookcase devoted to Young Adult books and it’s like her own personal little library.

      • That is soooo cool! I am so jealous! I have 4 boys that would rather play sports or video games… ❤️ no readers but me…

    • Oh awesome! I’d love to hear how it goes! Some of them are really good, and others… I wonder how they even won! 😊
