  1. You’re welcome to your squirrel! Cute as they may be, we live in a 200 year old weaver’s cottage and they chewed through the lathe and plaster to gain access to our loft. As we get a nursery colony of bats each year in a different loft, there was nothing we could do to get rid of them. However, OH went into the attic and made such a racket moving everything around that they departed, phew. Their front teeth never stop growing and they are known to strip the wiring at an alarming rate!! xX

    • He comes and hangs out in our carport almost everyday. Some days I will go to take out the garbage and he will be standing in the garbage can on his hind legs waiting for me. I think He likes me because I feed him Ryan’s almonds. Lol

  2. Lana, this is so cute!! As a cat and squirrel lover, you just made my day!! ❤️

I know squirrels can be destructive but I sure do enjoy watching them!

    • I’m so glad you enjoyed that post! I haven’t seen our lil buddy since we had a few feet of snow last month. I’m hoping he comes back. 😁

      • Aww! I hope so too. We had one here who was handicap with a missing tail. We affectionately looked out for the cutie. He’s been missing awhile but we think of him often. They’re cute aren’t they?

      • They are super cute! I enjoyed watching him and my cat hang out. This fella had a tear in one of his ears so it always flopped over. He wasn’t very shy. He loved our almonds we’d feed him. 😊

      • You just melted my heart! He sounds precious!

You fed him almonds? Aw! No wonder he was grateful to call you guys home 🙂 So sweet! You just made my day! 🙂

      • Ya, he was pretty impressive. He could pack away a good two dozen of them in his cheeks before running back to his home. 😁 They are lots of fun to have around the neighborhood!

      • Oh goodness! I just had the perfect mental image of this lil fella! Packing his cheeks like a chipmunk!

I agree, I enjoy watching them so much. Have you watched some of the squirrel videos showing their intelligence, especially around food? It is truly impressive!

  3. How adorable! I’ve had pet squirrels a few times in my life, and yes, they are destructive, but oh so cute and worth it! As long you keep them entertained, they are not too bad about destroying things, just like any other pet.
