We finally got our SNOW DAY!

This is the most snow we’ve had on the valley floor in at LEAST 10 years! Not one family made it in for preschool today! I could be 100 years old and I’ll still love Snow Days! Ryan and I just love it!

Bob is refusing to go outside.

Preschool igloo!

I’ve been behind on blogging for a few days and this snow day is such a nice way to get caught up! This weekend we were supposed to get this “atmospheric river” of rain. It is bringing feet of snow to the mountains and nearly a foot in the valley.

Joey had a few basketball games this weekend which was a blast to watch! Their team has improved so much this season! A team that smoked us in the jamboree at the beginning of the season, we just beat by almost 30 points! Soo fun to watch them click as a team!

Go Willamette!

We also hit a few thrift shops and these are my book finds and this Scentsy for $6! Go Ducks! After seeing The Lion King Musical I have been anxious to go to another musical. This summer Wicked will be coming to Eugene so I have been wanting to read Gregory Maguire’s Wicked.

Little House on the Prairie was one of my older boys’ favorite book I read to him so I thought I might try it with Joey and Jayden. Can’t go wrong with Little House on the Prarie!

Hope your staying warm in your part of the world…

Happy Reading Friends!

      • I have been lucky not to have lost power for many years… but this snow is so heavy it’s bringing down trees and there are a lot of power outages already. tonight it’s supposed to get really cold again. Were not used to this type of weather! Lol

      • No… but my parents live very close by and they have 2! But still I’m keeping my fingers crossed because we don’t have a fireplace.

    • I remember hearing about the snowstorm up there in Washington. That was nuts! Ya, it’s A freak storm here for us. We usually get rain and 36’, it annoys me so much! But I’m happy as can be today! 🤠❄️⛄️

    • Had you read Wicked? I picked that book up this weekend and want to read it before the musical arrives here this summer…

      • Yes, I read that book after seeing the musical. Both are extremely different- the book is more serious and darker. The musical has a lighter and more comical feel to it.

      • Ok, cool! I’m hoping to squeeze it in this next month. I keep requesting too many books for review and I am about 25 behind. 😆 I figured you had read it! I can’t wait to see it this summer!

      • My mom let me read her version of the book.

Last year (I think it was), one of my family’s church friends went to a book signing event, and the author of Wicked was there. So she bought Wicked- and had him sign it, but first talked about my love for the musical. He saw my love for the musical and in the book, not only did he sign it, but drew Elphaba in the book- I have a signed copy of the book with Elphaba (AKA the Wicked Witch of the West) all because of a church friend

    • Thanks Ruth! We are in heaven! Soaking up all the snow fun we can have… it may need to last us another 10 years! Haha

    • Hahaha… we are at 32’ in Eugene today, which is about 20’ colder than we normally should be! I’m so ready for spring!🥶⛄️
