We will be staying home
Its supposed to rain all weekend here. So instead of sitting around a wet campfire, weāve decided to hang out at home. Ryan will be watching March Madness and Iāll be blogging, reading and cleaning. Tonight we will be watching the Oregon Women in the final four. It will be pretty exciting to watch.
We will invite our kids for dinner on Sunday, but we will have to wait and see if anyone shows up. You never know… lol
Limiting our spending
Ryan and I set up a pretty strict budget for the next several months to get some things paid off. ThisĀ is the first weekend we will be holding ourselves accountable. Weāll see how we do, doesnāt sound too fun. š³
Season 3 of Santa Clarita Diet
Last week season 3 came out! Have you seen it? We will be watching a few episodes of this over the weekend too.
There you have it
That’s our weekend…. rain, no spending any money, and sitting around watching tv. Sounds amazing right? š
If we get a few breaks from the rain Iām sure we will head out for a walk somewhere. Maybe Iāll go walk through a thrift shop.
How is the weather where you are? Any funĀ weekend plans?
Hopefully next weekend will be a bit dryer and we will be back in our campsite having fun!
My plan is very similar to your plan….
I am sorry to hear that… lol.. no fun.
A nice weekend at home can be so energizing sometimes! I am taking a road trip with my kids to an out of state zoo and I am excited, but maybe more excited to lay in bed all day when we get home Sunday!
Oh that sounds lovely! Iāve been wanting to take the train up to our state zoo. Our boys have never been on a train before. I hope you and your kiddos have a blast! Canāt wait to see your photos! A lazy day at home does sound good to me too!
Cho and I are going to the Zoo in the Bronx tomorrow! MZ
Fun! I love the zoo in the spring! I hope you have a great time!
Thank you! Have a great weekend.
š
Just heading up the hill shortly to ski Marmot Basin ski hill in the Rockies near Jasper Alberta. Ahhhhh, spring skiing. Allan
Sounds amazing Allen! Have a great day!
This week we have had our central heating boiler replaced and a major upgrade on the radiators and pipe work which was in an awful mess. Our house is still in a topsy turvy state as we had to pull out all our bookcases and clear all the radiators. So this weekend we will be returning the house to its status quo plus catching up with a weeks worth of washing….think I’d rather be crocheting in front of the tv!
Oh dear… that sounds like a lot of work…Yes, crocheting sounds way more relaxing!š I hope it all goes smoothly!
Yes, I love that show but I have to finish the ones I’m watching on Hulu and Netflix before I watch the rest of that one! I’m glad yall know you need to budget and good luck sticking with it! Have a good weekend and stay dry!
Thanks Kim! Same to you!
Going to see Hamilton!
I am so jealous! In your home town or on Broadway?
In my hometown, it is currently showing in Dallas.
I canāt wait to hear about your time next week! š
For sure
We continue the saga of the flooded basement.Could have been so much worse if God’s Servant Angels had not come to the fore when they did! Rug & pad a re saved, dry and ready to be reset into their corners and tacked down tomorrow… more Angels to te rescue! Wallboard is almost dry… still have four big fans blowing down there. Tomorrow is my son’s birthday. Wish I were Samantha from “Bewitched.” I would twitch my nose an land in his living room – but can’t quite make it. Darn! Sunday holds the same promise of fun with our darling Church School kids. You have a wonderful, relaxed weekend, Lana. Snuggle in!
What a lot of work! I am sorry your having to deal with that. I am hoping to get lots of reading and blogging done. š
Yes, it’s a good day to hunker in!
i love relaxing at home during weekend š staycation is cheap but you can get enough rest.
Very true. Weāve been relaxing today, and havenāt spent much money! We watched a few old movies, ordered pizza…Itās good to have weekends at home sometimes I am just fed up with the nonstop rain! Itās been a heavy pour for the last 24 hours here.
I hate rain, do you get a lot of rain in your are?
We get a decent amount of rain and snow in the area during the colder months. from May to October itās beautiful here… we are currently in flooding stages for our area.
aaw stay safe. We also have hurricane season here but it ended already.
Thank you… same to you!
Thank you, we will.
We stayed home this weekend as well. My husband and I were supposed to go to a flea market and spend the day, Sunday, with my brother and sister-in-law, but got rained out. We sent the kids to grandma’s Saturday evening, had a quiet surf ‘n’ turf meal together, started watching The Crimes of Grindelwald but didn’t finish it until Sunday morning when we stayed home from church because I didn’t want to be out on the roads in the storm.
Sounds about the same as our weather! Weāve had 4.2 inches of rain in the last 72 hours… Iām so ready for some sun!āļø
Cousin and her husband in town. We will be catching up with them.
Sorry about the rain and budget. š
Nice… we are heading to the coast after work for some camping’
š… Have fun!!
